Great review Kay - I thought I would add some of my thoughts on the album too. I love every song on there but my favourites initially were the ones listed below - although with more plays I would now add.... I'll be there and All I ask of you to the list....
ANYTHING FOR LOVEBecause G4 sing with such clarity, for the first time ever I have properly realised what this song means! My hubby often plays the Meatloaf original and I have always thought "what exactly will they not do for love!!!" ... Now I finally know. I love the part where Lesley comes in and they interact with the words.....
"Will you hold me sacred? Will you hold me tight? Can you colourise my life, I'm so sick of black and white? Can you make it all a little less old?I can do that....Oh no, I can do thatI know the territory, I've been aroundIt'll all turn to dust and we'll all fall downSooner or later you'll be fooling aroundI won't do that....No, I won't do that..........
LOVE CHANGES EVERYTHINGBeautiful voices on this and sung with such feeling, you believe every word they sing.....I also love where they build up to the crescendo and key change with Jonathans voice holding the note in the background - so beautiful.
A MILLION LOVE SONGSG4 have changed, what has always been for me a pleasant pop song, into a crossover masterpiece! Jonathans voice is SO lovely on this and especially where he holds out the notes, and the G4 harmonies are exquisite. Once again they have brought out the meaning of the words which were never highlighted in the original for me.
BECAUSE WE BELIEVEClassical perfection! Such lovely words and this song really shows off Jonathans classical vocal prowess. The words in this song sum up the whole album for me......"Like stars across the sky, we were born to shine"....
CAN'T HELP FALLING IN LOVE WITH YOUThis arrangement and the vocals are what G4 are all about. Four fabulous voices singing in harmony....I love Nick's voice doing the bass with Jonathan holding out that long soft note behind...and the wonderful pure harmonies of Ben and Mike....superb!
AMIGOS PARA SIEMPREMore classical perfection! What I particularly love on this one is the way they all (when they sing in their turn) hold out the last notes on the words "forever" and "together" - they all do it and it's the sweetest most lovely sound..... Gorgeous!
ALL OF MEFor me this is the masterpiece of the album! The arrangement and the way they use their voices is amazing. I love the way the song has that constant beat like a heartbeat underneath the vocals.... and the last minute of the song is pure perfection - the voices coming in, in turn, in the background, sound like echoes and it is spine tinglingly effective.....
A triumph of an album. What I love most is that they use every voice giving each singer a time to shine and then join together again in glorious harmony.Their clever arrangements and the beautiful orchestra top the whole album off sublimely. Well done G4! x x (And Lesley and Merrill!)

About the last comment . Jonathan told us on Wright Stuff that they were going to South Korea. How about Japan?! Do they need an interpreter?

About the booklet contained in the album: They are very economical about information. In the first and the second albums, 10 / 12 pages incl front and back booklets contained list of music, info about who wrote the songs and verses. On the 3rd album, the verses had disappeared but it still had info about song writer. Now, they are all gone. When I like the songs, ideally, I would like to know more about it, the verses or at least, the origin of the songs, info about the song writers. They can be fitted with the title list easily. Or a few more pages wouldn’t cost an earth, would it?
One bit of info added on this album. They are going to perform in Asia! Which countries are they going?!

It was a nice surprise to receive the delivery a day earlier. I love the vocal arrangement of harmony to listen to well-known songs in fresh perspective with lots of nice surprises.
My best favorite at the moment is Go the Distance. It showcases powerful, yet harmonious singing with emotional up and down enhanced with the depth of their voice range. I am glad they opted to more classical singing vs Michael Bolton’s poppy singing. While I was checking Bolton’s version on Youtube, I found another interesting version, a capella: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0ROfR39TRBQ G4 could have done it. Having said that, I really like the orchestral arrangement at the beginning of G4 version. G4 can do it on a new song on the next album or in a concert. It’s been a long time since we heard A Capella apart from some carols. New A Capella on a big song in near future, please! I just hope Go the Distance will not be used to promote war, invasion or any armed forces (then I am out of it; the word Hero worries me)
I also love Because We Believe. That suits Ben’s operatic singing. It gives good contrast with Jonathan’s gentle and bright voice. It reminds me of Il Divo. Don’t be alarmed! I am not anti-Il Divo; I like some of their songs. I am glad they included it as they can use their classic voices beautifully.
One of the familiar songs which has given me a nice surprise is: Love Changes Everything. I love Jonathan’s long high notes in the transition from first verse to the second. It is very effective. I also love the very last high note. Jonathan has progressed a lot from his first CD when he sang the same song.
When they are on Xfactor, we sometimes struggled to identify who is singing which part. Now they developed very distinctive individual singing. Jonathan and Ben sing very differently. Ben’s singing is very operatic in most of parts. Jonathan’s singing is varied, sometimes very soft and tender, sometimes throaty and poppy and other times classical and powerful. Nick was a great find. Thank you Ben for getting Nick in. Matt had deep yet, soft voice. Nick has a deep and powerful voice which adds so much depth in their harmony. How can he produce such a powerful voice from his slim figure?
I wish they included more classical songs to feature Lesley’s beautiful, soaring soprano. I would have liked to hear the kind of voice she used when she sang Barcelona with G4. ‘All I Ask You’ is lovely, but as for the part ofve’, I thought it was Jon ‘I’d Do Anything For Love I thoughtJonathan singing it. I am looking forward to hearing them live in a month time.
